The Connected Homes Series

The Connected Home in 2007/2008

For four years Connection Research has researched personal and household usage of digital technologies with the successful Connected Home series. In 2008, in association with The Gadget Group, we again have produced the definitive snapshot of the Australian Connected Home.

The reports are based on surveys of thousands of Australian households. They examine consumer attitudes and intentions, their brand preferences, and their usage profiles.

The Connected Home in 2008
Technology plays an ever more important role in the modern home. Home cinema, computer networking, digital entertainment, broadband internet, pay TV - the range of technologies is astounding. Usage of them is growing quickly. Yesterday's luxury is today's necessity.

The Connected Home is a major survey that asks thousands of Australian households how they employ digital entertainment and communications in the home. It asks about usage patterns, vendor preferences, purchasing motivations and related issues.
